DECEMBER 2018   NEW SINGLE RELEASED: KIM AND DONALD

We released our new song Kim and Donald, available on all the usual platforms (Spotify, I-Tunes, Amazon) in time for Christmas. Its a folky rock song about Donald Trump, Kim Jong-un and the threat of nuclear war. Not as downbeat as it sounds, check it out!

MARCH 2018   NEW SINGLE RELEASED: SWEET RELEASE

We released our 2nd 'Sweet Release' on 8th March. Expect euphoric rock-pop; less bass, more synths and violin. One to rock out to and sing at the top of your lungs! Find it now on Spotify etc.

DECEMBER 2017   GIG @ 4th ANNUAL 'GIG IN THE LOUNGE', BTON

We had a fantastic time opening a beautiful Christmas celebration at the 4th annual 'Gig In the Lounge' in Brighton. We were the first of 9 bands, and played an intimate semi-acoustic set including new songs "Sweet Release", "Kim & Donald" and "Something or Nothing", as well as a cover of the Dire Straits' classic "Romeo & Juliet". We were proud to support up and coming artist 'Kev Minney' and Brighton legends 'POG' amongst others.

We released our first E.P.! 5 of our best tracks, including Another Way, Take My Hand and For All My Sins. Recorded at Bee Studios in Brighton, our debut outing is a mix of indie ballads and songs to rock out to! With awesome guitar solos from the legendary Johnny G (also of Joan & Grim), and the inspired lyrics written and sung by Will Coupland, this EP is just the start for Solitary Be. Listen or buy it on Spotify, I-Tunes, Amazon etc. Enjoy!

JULY 2016   SUPPORT HEADLINE @ PATCHFEST, BRIGHTON

We support headlined the Lower Stage at Patchfest 2016! We played all of our songs from our upcoming EP to an audience of around 500 dancey, happy (and quite drunk by this stage) people. Had some great feedback: "Best band all day, and I've been here all day" (Special Brew drinking guy). Great experience playing to so many people and sharing our tunes. Thanks for everyone who came down and had an awesome time at the best festival in Brighton.

APRIL 2016   GIG @ SPRING IN THE PATCH FESTIVAL, BRIGHTON

Solitary Be played a 9 song set, including 7 originals and 2 covers (incl. Reptilia by the Strokes) at a lovely small Brighton festival. We were joined by Brighton folk band Hickory Signals and a jazz duo. Great feedback from an audience of a hundred or so people
